Hypoestes phyllostachya cv – Hypoestes Confetti White seeds x30

Hypoestes Confetti White is a select form of the Polka Dot plant chosen for its unique foliage splashed with rose-red and green. It makes a nice accent plant indoors or outdoors and is good for mass planting, borders, houseplants or pots.

This plant does best in part sun to part shade in moist, well drained soils or pots. It is an easy to grow, easy to maintain plant growing to a height of 15 – 20cm (6-8in) with a spread of 20-30m (8-12in).  It has a low, mounding and spreading habit. The flowers are inconspicuous and lavender in colour followed by a brown capsule that ‘explodes’ ejecting seed far and wide.

Water requirements are light, cold tolerance is down to 4.4degC (40F) and it is heat tolerant. Soil pH is around neutral and evenly moist, fertile soil is preferred.

In cold climates (below temperate) this plant should be grown as an annual as it is very sensitive to frost. In temperate climates, it can be grown as a bedding and/or houseplant. In sub-tropical and tropical climates it should be grown in full shade with bright, filtered light and preferably high humidity.

It is also an excellent indoor plant.
